Joining the firm in February 2008, Mr. Maloney has attained a versatile
background as a civil litigator in a wide range of practice areas, including:
employment law, commercial litigation, family law, personal injury, workers’ compensation,
environmental insurance coverage, and municipal court.
In 1992 Mr. Maloney held the grant-funded position of outreach coordinator for
a transportation project at the Rutgers Environmental Law Clinic. Later, he
split time between law practice and editorial duties at the New Jersey Law
Journal. For three years Mr. Maloney checked articles for libel, reported on
legal community developments, and assisted editing supplements to New Jersey
Employment Law, Insurance Law, and Product Liability Law. He also garnered
magazine writing honors from press organizations comprised of professionals at
national and international publications.
Besides trying cases and otherwise litigating at the trial court level, Mr.
Maloney has successfully argued and settled matters before the Appellate
Division. In years prior to joining Fox and Fox’s Labor and Employment team, he
specialized in plaintiff’s employment actions and pursued claims involving
racial, age and handicap discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of contract,
and severance agreement issues. Mr. Maloney also counsels small to midsized
businesses seeking guidance on the multiplicity of laws governing employer
rights and obligations.
